Welcome to Geniousing. This Privacy Policy explains how Geniousing ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Services").
Geniousing is a comprehensive business platform that provides course creation, membership management, email marketing, payment processing, CRM, scheduling, and other business tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency and care.
By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our Services.
We collect information you voluntarily provide when using our Services:
• Name, email address, phone number, and password
• Business name, address, and contact information
• Profile photo and biographical information
• Tax identification numbers (where required for payment processing)
• Credit card numbers, bank account information, and billing addresses
• Payment processor account credentials (Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.)
• Transaction history and invoice records
• Courses, lessons, quizzes, and educational materials
• Marketing emails, SMS messages, and automation workflows
• Landing pages, forms, and website content
• Documents, contracts, and e-signature records
• Video recordings and webinar content
• Support tickets, chat messages, and forum posts
• Customer and prospect contact information
• Communication history and interaction logs
• Custom field data and tags

When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain information:

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform:
• Payment Processors: Stripe, PayPal, Square, Dwolla for transaction processing
• Communication Services: Twilio for SMS delivery, AWS SES for email delivery
• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Cloudflare, Backblaze for hosting and storage
• Analytics Providers: Services that help us understand platform usage
• Identity Verification: Plaid for bank account verification
• Print-on-Demand: Printify for merchandise fulfillment
When you connect third-party services to your account, we share necessary data with those services:
• QuickBooks for accounting synchronization
• Google Calendar for scheduling integration
• Webhook endpoints you configure
QuickBooks Online (Intuit) Integration
When you connect a QuickBooks Online company, you authorize us — through Intuit's secure OAuth process — to access certain accounting data from that company on your behalf. This may include your chart of accounts and transactions (such as expenses, checks, credit-card charges, bills, deposits, and journal entries), along with related records such as customers, invoices, and payments. We use this information solely to provide and improve the bookkeeping, transaction-categorization, and tax-preparation features you request — for example, to surface uncategorized transactions and, when you assign an account to a transaction, to write that account selection back to your QuickBooks company. We do not use QuickBooks data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share data obtained from Intuit or QuickBooks with any third party, except service providers (subprocessors) who help us operate the service under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.
QuickBooks access tokens are stored in encrypted form, and QuickBooks data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. You may disconnect QuickBooks at any time from within the app or from your Intuit account; disconnecting immediately revokes our access to that company's data. We retain QuickBooks-derived records only as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, after which they are deleted or de-identified in accordance with this Policy.
If you use Geniousing through an agency or white-label partner, your information may be accessible to that partner as part of their service delivery. Each client environment operates in an isolated tenant with separate database storage.
We may disclose your information when required by law or to:
• Comply with legal process, court orders, or government requests
• Protect our rights, property, and safety
• Prevent fraud or other illegal activities
• Respond to emergencies involving potential threats to safety
If Geniousing is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Geniousing offers an optional feature called **Meta Ads Architect** (which
appears as "Geniousing Ad Studio" in Facebook's consent dialog) that lets you
create and manage Facebook ad campaigns directly from within Geniousing. You
only share Meta data with us if you choose to connect your Facebook account.
**Permissions we request.** When you connect your Meta account, Meta Ads
Architect requests the following permissions through Facebook's standard OAuth
flow:
- `ads_management` — to create and manage ad campaigns, ad sets, ads, and ad
creatives in the ad accounts you select.
- `ads_read` — to retrieve performance insights (impressions, clicks, spend,
conversions) for campaigns you choose to view.
- `business_management` — to access ad accounts that belong to your Meta
Business Manager.
- `pages_show_list` — to display the Facebook Pages you manage so you can
select which Page to use for ad creatives.
- `pages_read_engagement` — required by Meta when creating ad creatives that
use a Facebook Page identity.
**What we store.** When you connect your Meta account, we store: your Meta
user ID and name (for display only); a long-lived OAuth access token encrypted
at rest; the ad account and Facebook Page you select; IDs and metadata of
campaigns, ad sets, ads, and creatives you create through Meta Ads Architect;
and cached performance metrics for those ads. We do **not** store personal
information about people who view, click, or convert on your ads.
**Revoking access and deleting your data.** You can disconnect or delete your
Meta data at any time:
- *From Geniousing*: go to **Settings → Meta Ads Architect → Disconnect**. This
immediately invalidates and deletes your stored access token.
- *From Facebook*: visit your [Business Integrations settings](https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools)
and remove Geniousing Ad Studio.
- *Full deletion*: email [email protected] to request permanent deletion
of all Meta-derived data we hold. We complete these requests within 30 days.
If you remove Geniousing Ad Studio from your Facebook account, Meta notifies
us via a data deletion callback, and we purge all data associated with your Meta user ID within 30 days automatically.
Geniousing offers an optional feature that lets you publish content to LinkedIn from within Geniousing's Content Calendar. You only share LinkedIn data with us if you choose to connect your LinkedIn account.
Permissions we request. When you connect your LinkedIn account, Geniousing requests the following permissions through LinkedIn's standard OAuth flow:
• openid, profile, email — to identify the LinkedIn member authorizing the connection and display which account is connected.
• w_member_social — to publish posts you compose in Geniousing to your personal LinkedIn feed at the time you schedule.
• w_organization_social — to publish posts to LinkedIn Pages you administer and have selected.
• r_organization_social — to retrieve posts and engagement metrics for content published through Geniousing.
• rw_organization_admin — to list the LinkedIn Pages you administer so you can choose which Page to publish to.
What we store. When you connect your LinkedIn account, we store: your LinkedIn member ID and name (for display only); OAuth access and refresh tokens encrypted at rest; the LinkedIn Page you select as a publishing destination; the content, scheduled time, and post IDs of items you publish through Geniousing; and cached engagement metrics for those posts. We do not store personal information about people who view, like, comment on, or share your posts, and we do not access your LinkedIn connections, messages, or feed.
How we use it. LinkedIn data is used solely to publish the content you schedule and to show you how it performed. We do not use it for advertising, we do not combine it with data from other sources to build profiles, and we do not sell, rent, or share data obtained from LinkedIn with any third party, except service providers (subprocessors) who help us operate the service under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.
Revoking access and deleting your data. You can disconnect or delete your LinkedIn data at any time:
• From Geniousing: go to Settings → Integrations → LinkedIn → Disconnect. This immediately invalidates and deletes your stored access and refresh tokens.
• From LinkedIn: visit Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Other applications → Permitted services and remove Geniousing.
• Full deletion: email [email protected] to request permanent deletion of all LinkedIn-derived data we hold. We complete these requests within 30 days.
Disconnecting does not remove posts already published to LinkedIn. Those remain on LinkedIn until you delete them there.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Specifically:
• Account Information: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward
• Transaction Records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
• Marketing Data: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Usage Logs: Retained for up to 2 years for security and analytics
• Backup Data: Retained for disaster recovery purposes according to our backup retention schedule
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required for legal compliance or legitimate business purposes.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:
• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Automatic SSL certificate management for custom domains
• Regular security assessments and vulnerability scanning
• Secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections
• Access controls and authentication mechanisms
• Limited employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
• Confidentiality agreements with employees and contractors

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
You can access and download your personal information through your account settings. We provide data export functionality to help you move your data to other services.
You can update and correct your account information at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
You can request deletion of your account and personal information. Some information may be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or to complete pending transactions.
You can opt out of marketing communications by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or adjusting your notification preferences in your account settings. Note that you cannot opt out of service-related communications.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality.
Geniousing operates globally and may transfer your information to countries other than your country of residence. When we transfer data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards to protect your information, including standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities.
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
• Right to Know: You can request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources of collection, and how we use and share it.
• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Correct: You can request correction of inaccurate personal information.
